As I type this, Maddie is sitting on the couch eating kale.
My 4 year old is literally sitting next to me putting handfuls of kale in her mouth and loving every bite…score one for Mom!!
My Dad started growing kale in his garden this year, and it’s growing faster than they can eat it, so it started being passed along to pretty much anyone who showed up! They’re bagging it up and shoving it in your hands, purse, pockets, anywhere they can before they send you on your way!
I’m not generally a big kale fan, so I decided to give these “homemade kale chips” a whirl and see if they’d work out…total win!
Not only are they delicious, but the fact that the whole family is chowing down on these super nutritious green chips every day is shocking!
You can easily add in any variety of seasoning you like, but since this was our first round, I just stuck with a simple salted recipe. Simple, but yummy nonetheless!
Be forewarned, these are not going to taste like potato chips!
They are super delicious, but if you go in expecting that potato chip flavor, you’re going to be disappointed!
