We all have ups and downs, some days are easier than others.
Most of the time we brush it off as a result of the day’s activities, but have you ever noticed how the?feeling of the day is usually connected to how?you are feeling?
I know for a fact that when I am worn out or didn’t sleep well the night before, my day seems overwhelming and like I can’t keep up. Everything just seems to “go wrong”…and I think it’s a bit more than a coincidence!
So how do we get around these stressful days that seem to catch us off guard and drain us of the little energy we have left…Find Your Fuel!
I’m not necessarily talking about your passion, the thing you are working?toward, but that thing that inspires you and?keeps you going!
For me, my friends are my fuel!
There are 3 specific ones that come to mind that are practically rocket fuel?for me, and I love them for it!
These ladies are the fuel that keeps me going on those rough, tired, “not enough hours” kind of days.
While I of course am working toward certain ends for my family, my bank account, my own personal satisfaction, these ladies are the force that gives me the get up and go to get it all done and?then some!
This is Holly.
She’s a Visual Presentation Manager for Hudson’s Bay, and a complete and utter fashion obsessed “girly” girl!
She constantly inspires me to create, think outside the box, and try something new, as long as it makes me happy!
This is Kristen.
A paramedic and ex-personal trainer, she is?literally a walking kick in the ass!
This girl is the hardest working chick I know, and does it all with drive, determination, and a big fat smile on her face!
Always looking to help others, she is quick to remind me that even when things are “bad”, they aren’t bad enough to quit, so stop bitching and make it work!
This is Jayne.
Jayne is a Knowledge Translation Officer at our local University.
Very smart and analytical, logical thinking is in her bones!
She always helps me look at problems in a new way and find the simplest solution, instead of dwelling on it, so I can move onto bigger and better things!
Getting “stuck” is not an option!
They say that you are an average of the people you surround yourself with, and really and truly, I could only hope to be so lucky!
Find your fuel and?surround yourself with it! Make it a priority, and I guarantee you it will completely change the way you approach life!
What or who is your fuel? What is the driving force in your life that pushes you past your “comfort zone”? Share in the comments below!
